Tex avery was the undisputed mastre of the genre, and in 1943's red hot riding hood he introduced audiences to red, the sexy and curvaceous star of the sunset strip nightclub. Her rendition of hey, daddy created a sensation, and she proved so popular that she returned to the screen in five more films. Animated by preston blair, her singing and dancing drove audiences (primarily lustful wolves and droopy) to distraction, eliciting from them a plethora of unforgettable sight gags. Sculptor kent melton, the leading sculptor of animated characters for the past 15 years, hsa portrayed red's flirtatious essence in three dimensions as she appeared in her debut performance. A limited edition of 750 cold-cast porcelain sculptures was produced from melton's original work each is numbered on the underside and packed in a decorative box.
